REUSE offers education on recycling and upcycling to school classes.
4th-7th. grade from aarhus shcools, can get lessons at reuse and become wiser about waste, resources and recycling. The course increases students' awareness and skills in the fields of waste, resources and recycling.
The course strengthens students' ability to work creatively, innovative and entrepreneurial, and the students progress from the course with increased material knowledge and experience from the outside world.
The teaching is conducted by the Waste Management Aarhus Visiting Service, and complies with the curriculum requirements.
Through our teaching. it is possible to let the students use our recycling and create something new and useful. That could be a new lampshade for the room, a birdhouse for the garden, or whatever the teaching is about at the given time. An example could also be to convert a dining chair to a sled for use in the winter months, where the subject could be wood, trees or the ozone layer, where focus lies on photosynthesis, etc.
You can learn about recycling and innovation, where students are guided through a process where they eventually create a product from available parts, furniture or anything else that is on Reuse. In addition, the students also learn about getting a good idea, and follow through with it, using and reusing recycled items. It is only the imagination that sets the limit to what can be done at our workshop.
One can, among other things, complete a course or hear about topics that deals with recycling in general, but also recycling of aluminum or other materials or other materials. In addition, students can also learn about the use of resources and innovation. In addition, there is also the possibility of illuminating topics like the chemistry of waste and its consequences, as well as the creative aspect of brainstorming, design and craftsmanship.
